Fareeda Haamid, DO


Fareeda Haamid, DO, is a member of the Division of Adolescent Medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics for The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Haamid attended medical school at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at Goryeb Children's Hospital/Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, New Jersey. Dr. Haamid then completed her fellowship in adolescent medicine at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas. She is board certified in pediatrics and adolescent medicine. Dr. Haamid has a clinical interest in the reproductive health of adolescent females with a focus on menstrual disorders, such as heavy menstrual bleeding. She is particularly interested in the relationship between young women’s health and hematology and she provides care at the hospital’s interdisciplinary Young Women’s Hematology clinic. Dr. Haamid is involved in research related to contraception-related thrombosis and other adolescent reproductive health issues.

 

Dr. Haamid's presentation includes the discussion of "off-label" substances/products not approved by the FDA for use under discussion or substances/products that are being investigated for such use.
