Rachael Bailey Smith, DO

Dr. Smith attended Oregon State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then received her medical degree from Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale Arizona. Dr. Smith completed her postgraduate training at University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix for OB/GYN Residency followed by a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. Upon completion of postgraduate training, she joined as faculty as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix. Dr. Smith enjoys all aspects of Gynecological care including the medical and surgical components. She has a special interest in endometriosis, pelvic pain, uterine fibroids, and cervical insufficiency. Her current research projects include enhanced recovery after surgery protocols, improving postoperative pain control and same-day discharge, and mindfulness-based practices for pre-surgical patients.
