Sonja Cruz, DO
Dr. Cruz grew up in a large family, 9th of 10 children, lived in various places, but majority of my formative years in a rural small town in the Northern California high desert. I skipped around a few community colleges and eventually finished my Bachelor of Science in Accounting at Western Governors University. I completely changed careers and completed my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at A.T. Still University, School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona. I completed my Family Medicine & OMT residency at The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education, associated with El Rio Community Health Center in Tucson, AZ.
I am married to my husband of 19 years and we have 4 children, ages 17, 14, 11, and 7. I enjoy hobbies such as cooking, gardening, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors with my family. I am involved in my church as much as possible since the COVID-19 pandemic has changed all group gatherings. I am currently a member of the US Army Reserve Medical Corps and am employed as a staff physician with Concentra, Phoenix, AZ. Most of my current work involves patients with work injuries and work assessments.
